Thanksgiving

Tim was on nights last year for Thanksgiving (I don't really like to revisit that time, it was a rough month for me), so this year we decided that he should take the ENTIRE WEEK OFF!!! We planted one of his four vacation weeks right smack over Thanksgiving so the boys and I could have him all to ourselves to do whatever we please. We decided to take advantage of the entire week off and the holiday and go catch up with 6 out of Tim's 7 siblings (the 7th lives in Oregon, a little out of our way). We started in Phoenix and made our way up to Las Vegas, then St. George and finished up on Salt Lake. Tim hadn't seen some of his siblings in over a year and a half and only one of them had met Peter, so we decided to put an end to that madness. We had a great time catching up and getting one on one time with each family. Sometimes when the whole family is together (all 8 siblings, with their spouses and 24 kids) it's real hard to get a lot of catch up because there is just too much going on. Three of Tim's sisters have beautiful dogs that just had puppies so we got a lot of puppy love in. We did a lot of driving and the boys did AWESOME. It was nice to split the drive up and have places to stay. We had a great trip but were happy to get home and start getting ready for the most wonderful time of the year!
We set Oliver up with his own little ipad and headphones. How great does his little boy head look in those gigantic headphones??

Our first stop was Vegas where we stayed with Tim's sister Rachel. Oliver met Olaf.

He loved him (but not enough to take one home).

Our next stop was St. George where we saw Tim's brother Dan and sister Amie. Amie was doing a photo shoot with her puppies and we decided to throw our boys up on the bench. They are kind of like puppies.

Amie's puppies were bigger than Rachel's and SO FLUFFY!!!!

On our drive from St. George to Salt Lake we stopped in Fillmore and let the boys get out their wiggles at a little playground that was at the gas station there.

Approaching the Wasatch Front. Those Mountains really are AMAZING!!

We had breakfast with Tim's sister Mel. Peter was looking pretty cute all snuggled up in the cold weather. He did a REALLY good job meeting all of his aunts and uncles and cousins. He didn't freak out at anyone and was happy to be held and played with.

I made stuffing and green bean casserole for Thanksgiving dinner. Stuffing is my FAVORITE!

Peter with his aunt Mel and aunt Sarah. Tim's siblings all kind of look alike right?

Tim and our nose picking three year old.

We had dinner with three of Tim's siblings and their spouses and kids

And his cousin Zinnia (who has the sweetest girlie voice ever)

A visit to temple square

Love this guy!

Tim made us all breakfast at Rachel's house on our Vegas stop home.

Such a fun and successful trip!
