School is out for summer!! (Or at least it was over a month ago ;) We have been Summering hard over here and it's been extremely exhausting and fun. I have a love hate with this time because it is so precious and it's fun to have the kids home all day, but they fight twice as much and we kind of get sick of each other and I think it's hard for all of us to not have a break from each other. Anyway, back to the last day of school. Peter finished Pre-K with a big smile on his face.
Peter had a great year. He grew so much, learned a ton and is more than ready for Kindergarten. He is sweet, smart, and brave. He is willing to try new things even if he's scared or nervous. He is nice and easy to be around and I think not only did his teachers love him, but so did his classmates. He's going to rock in kinder.
Oliver also had a good year. His Spanish really took off. He really challenged himself in math and English. He did some great art projects. He had a love hate with his English teacher. She said he reminded her of Kevin from Home Alone. He kept both of them on their toes, was easily distracted, loved making his classmates laugh, got good grades, and got lots of "think-times". I think/hope third grade is where he really hits his stride. He's very clever and too smart for his own good and I think this is the year he will grow into that.
Peace out Pre-K
So long 2nd grade

We went to the train park with friends after school (it was a half day). It was a fun way to celebrate the last day.
And of course the kids loved sitting in the box car
Peter's face is cracking me up!! He's faking it.
This girl!! Her smile lights up my life.
And these two!! All the heart eyes for them!!
The crazy thing is that summer is almost half over!! Trying to soak it all up!
