Oranges

One thing that I actually love about where we live is that our house has it's own little front courtyard. It makes things a little more secluded and private. Right in the middle of our courtyard is a pretty substantial orange tree and this year it produce a bajillion oranges! We have oranges coming out of our ears. The only bummer is that these are juicing oranges, they are way too meaty to eat. But, it's great if you love fresh squeezed orange juice. We've been working on picking them and juicing them and giving them away (come by and get your free oranges while they last). We broke my parents juicer which they've had since they got married over 36 years ago. We also broke the replacement juicer we ordered from Amazon. We are now using my parents new juicer and only juicing about a gallon at a time. Needless to say, there are still a lot of oranges up in the tree and even more sitting in a 32 gallon trash can just waiting. Another great thing about the tree? The orange blossoms. I'm pretty sure that if heaven has a scent, it is the smell of orange blossoms!!
We put our playschool kids to work!!

And Oliver is now obsessed with juicing oranges!

Tim filled this sucker up in no time!

  1. Our neighbors here have a really good juicer that just eats up whatever they put in it. I don't know the brand, but maybe we should bring one home for you :)
