Sunday morning we went to church which was fun. The ward their is primarily made up of retirees, but they have stand-by primary teachers ready in case grand-kids show up. The boys had fun being together and with only three other kids.
After church the boys "helped" Grandpa Frank and cousins make a snowman.
The boys LOVED the snow and were so happy that Grandma and Grandpa had snow clothes for them to wear so they wouldn't get too wet.
Oliver asked if we could move to the snow.....to which I replied no thank you :)
Oliver and his cute cousin Sophia
Tim made snow balls for Peter
Who threw them for Addy (Tim's brothers dog) to catch.
Peter helping Grandpa Frank, Uncle Dan, and Cameron put the head on the snowman.
Oliver with his cousins Gabe, Lauren and Hailey. They were building snow forts.
Peter discovered that if your hands are cold you just need to stick them in your mouth to warm them up.
Tim with his dad and the almost finished snowman. They were waiting on the kids to collect facial features.
Peter eating snow. I don't know why but this was quite the novelty for both of our boys.
Monday morning both of the boys helped Grandpa with some wood boxes he made for them.
Both boys were feeling super independent and wanted to try to do everything all by themselves. Even Peter who would say, "I got it!"
Oliver thought wearing the dust mask was pretty great.
Peter had fun plugging up the screw holes with puddy. He seriously did not want any help.
Oliver taking a stab at drilling all by himself. I love the concentration!
Cheesin' it with his crusty nose all weekend long!
Sanding the box with dad. (My husband is dreamy!)
I even painted a bowl for baby girl.
Oliver is quite the budding artist and I love it!!
He was very interested in putting his bowl in the kiln with Grandma.
Monday afternoon after naps we went sledding!!
My little snow bunnies loved it!
Oliver had fun riding with everyone and even surprising us by taking a solo trip down the hill.
My three boys! I still can't believe we're adding another kid to that lot. EEEEEKK I'm so excited/nervous!
My cute in-laws are so fun and so young!
This picture makes me laugh! Our faces are totally matching. We really had a great time.
Tim's dad is a volunteer fire fighter and so we stopped by the station on the way home from sledding because Peter randomly asked for an orange soda and Grandpa wanted to deliver (the fire station stays stocked up on soda and treats).
The boys had fun sitting in the big truck.
They look so little behind that wheel!
There they are with their soda. They were both pretty happy about it. Grandpa is the best!
Trying on the hats
I'm pretty sure Peters neck was slowly sinking into his body from the weight of the hat ;)
Oliver wanted to walk up this big snow bank and be king of the mountain.
He was pretty excited to be up there.
Monday night the boys made cookies with grandma for FHE dessert.
Tuesday morning the boys put the hardware on their boxes including the awesome name plates that Maxine made.
They were pretty happy about their boxes.
They love doing projects with grandpa in his workshop.
And they also got their bowls from grandma. Which they ask to eat their cereal out of every day.
We finished our trip with one last snow walk and a picture with the snowman.
The boys were sad to leave the snow, but they really did have so much fun! It was such a great trip. We are excited to go back for a visit in the summer and show baby girl around :)
