Remodel

We are remodeling our house!! We've been talking about it since we moved in two years ago and we've been saving, we found some contractors and they were available to start in the middle of August. So, we decided to do some of the demo ourselves. Tim started posting our stuff on Offer Up and people started buying so in less than a week we sold our entire kitchen, vanity's from two bathrooms and laundry room cabinets. We had plans to move in with my parents, but with no kitchen we ended up there a few days earlier than planned. The contractors got stated on the 16th and they have been making some impressive progress. It's been fun and crazy stressful all at the same time. At this point the contractors are racing the baby. We'll see what happens first!!

All cleared out and ready for the contractors.

And the contractors got there and got right down to business.

Pulled the old beam down... and put a new beam up.

Framing in the doorway to the kitchen and extending the kitchen wall a little bit.

We decided to raise our ceilings which also meant re-doing AC duct work which is a good thing because the bedrooms are super hot, so hopefully this fixes that.

I've made way more decisions in the past two weeks than I could have imagined. BUT I am really excited for the end result! I am so excited about the end results!! It's gonna be fun!
