Davie Family Reunion 2016

Last Thursday we loaded up the car and escaped the scorching Phoenix heat and headed to Pine Valley, UT for a Davie family reunion. My in-laws host one every summer. since Tim is the youngest of 8, this is the one time of year that we all get to see each other (Almost all, usually there's someone who can't make it. With that many people and schedules it's hard). We had a great time, the kids especially. The weather was great and it was so fun to catch up with everyone. And of course introduce Molly. Everyone loved her, no surprise there :) Every time we go to Pine Valley we always say we need to go there more often. It's such a beautiful place.

There was a terrible fire leading up to the family reunion, we almost moved it to St. George. But the fire was controlled enough by the time we got there that we were able to stay in Pine Valley. It was crazy how close the fire was to us. We all smelled like camp fire all weekend.

Tim's parents purchased the lot across the street from them a number of years ago and have developed it into the most beautiful park. It's amazing!!

They built this awesome entrance into the park gate, archway and all! They went out and found every single branch.

There's a lot of green grass for the kids to run around in...

...and lots of beautiful plants.

And even these cute little paths. Notice the adorable play house in the back. Peter loved it!

They have a little swing set in their back yard (not in the park) and Peter had a blast playing back there with cousins.

Oliver with his favorite Davie cousin Michael. I swear Oliver thinks this kid is the coolest ever. And Michael is so nice to him! It's pretty sweet!

Peter loved walking on these rocks.

You might think to yourself, "oh look it looks like dinner time in that picture." Nope! This was like 8:30pm. No Joke!! Day light savings is craziness!

Hide and seek in the park. Watching Peter look for me was so cute!

Different hiding spot, but he's still looking for me.

Taking a walk (I think it looks like it just got my wisdom teeth taken out in this picture....(insert laughing and crying emoji here).

Stand up piggy back ride.

Post snow cone smiles with grandpa and Michael. We brought the snow cone machine which was a huge hit!

Molly snuggling with Grandma Maxine.

And with Cousin Chloe.

And with Uncle Mike.

Peter won the balloon popping game that we played. He was quite proud of himself. It was pretty sweet.

Hanging out with Maia, Ruby and Michael. No shoes, no problem!

Peter totally wore himself out and zonked out hardcore one afternoon. I had a super hard time waking him up so that he didn't sleep too much. It love it when they sleep so hard.

Hanging out with some of the tween and teen cousins on the little trampoline.

We had such a great weekend. It was a lot of driving. The boys both did awesome. Molly did good half the time both ways and then lost it for the other half the time. It's good to be with family. We are both so lucky to have such great families!!
