After a week of lots of coughing and fevers and missed school, we finally got back to "normal" last week. It felt really good!
Oliver was feeling sad about not getting to see Tim on Monday (Tim had worked Sunday nights, was sleeping in Monday morning and then going in that afternoon for another evening/night shift) so Tim took Oliver lunch. It was good for these two buddies to hang out together.
Tim got himself sushi (gross) and Oliver a happy meal (grosser) ;).
Tim also took the responsibility of helping Peter with his Valentines. He's pretty good with that stuff! So we decided to do the ol' sucker in the hand card....
Peter's eyes in this picture though!
This is what we ended up using!
It turned out pretty cute!
Whitney's husband was out of town all last week and Tim was working lots of evenings so we went to her house for dinner Monday and she came over here Wednesday. I'm so grateful for her and for our relationship! We are so lucky to have each other. The boys had a blast playing with their cousins too of course.
For Olivers homework he needed to write who his Valentine was and of course he chose Tim. Those two have the sweetest bond.
Little Miss Molly. She just gets bigger and cuter and officially has TWO teeth. One on bottom one on top.
Family selfie before our Valentines Day date together. We got The Habit take out and ate it at our friends house and then watched Trolls in their backyard. It was such a sweet and memorable Valentines Day.
Phoenix weather is on point right now!
The kids loved the show!
Tim had an extra long day on Wednesday with meetings in the morning and a shift in the afternoon/evening. So, the boys and I took him lunch. This has never happened before. Which seems sad and weird, but Tim's job typically isn't conducive to a "lunch break" but he had an hour between meetings and his shift so we took advantage. It was fun to take the kids to see their dads work and so good to see him during his long day.
Molly slept for the first half of lunch which was nice.
Thursday night Whit and I went out to Mellow Mushroom for dinner and then we saw a filmed production of Newsies with 9 of the original Broadway cast and since we saw the original broadway cast we both feel like we have some sort of connection with them....we are such nerds. We had the best time!
We were seriously giddy!! It was so fun because we are both equally excited and had fun being gaga for Jack Kelly together.
This is Jack Kelly aka Jeremy Jordan. He is just handsome and has the most amazing voice. He really was perfectly casted for this part.
Logan came to town Friday afternoon and we all go babysitters and went to dinner. SO SUN!! These people really are such a good time!
Saturday morning I got up extra early and went for a 12 mile run with my dad. It sprinkled misted and down poured off and on for all 12 miles. Such a memorable run. I felt like a spaz for most of it, but it was fun!
And my hair did this on that run.....it's like one giant dread lock....I was not looking forward to brushing that out.
We took uncle Logan donuts Saturday morning, which my boys love to do when he is here.
Saturday night we went to Shake Shack with our friends who were in town from San Diego. It was so fun to see them and catch up.
Monday was perfect!! The sun was super bright and happy after a rainy weekend and we got lots of chores done and just stayed home which felt so good! We had friends over for a BBQ and enjoyed being outside.
Which brings me to today. Peter wanted to do a picnic after preschool and it was so nice sitting outside in the beautiful weather. Molly enjoyed being silly as she ate a PB&J sandwich and some strawberries. I love these little sidekicks of mine!
