One of the hardest things about Tim being the youngest of 8 kids and living "far" away from them is not getting to see his siblings often enough. So when we heard his oldest brother Mike was spending his Birthday weekend in Vegas (down from Salt Lake) we decided to take advantage of the shorter drive and surprise him and his family. It was the shortest long trip. Meaning we left Saturday morning drove 4 1/2 hours and left Sunday mid morning and drove the 4 1/2 hours home. It was a lot of driving, but it was totally worth seeing family and the boys loved seeing their cousins.
Mike suggested we have dinner at one of the buffets and the girls were all excited about the idea of seeing mermaids (wait for it), so we headed to one of the local casinos for a authentic Vegas Buffet.
Tim is the king of selfies. He got ALL of us in in this picture.
There's the mermaid....goggles, nose plug and all. She did lots of waving and kiss blowing and some fun flips. The kids had fun watching her. It was pretty impressive.
I think my boys loved watching the fish even more. Peter got pretty annoyed with me every time I tried to make him turn around for a picture.
The two boys were being pretty ornery.
And we caught it. So naughty!
After getting to the buffet we determined that dinner for ALL of us was way too expensive. So we went to a very delicious alternative....
Cafe Rio!! So Good!!! And easier to manage the kids here. Molly was sad because she wanted more black beans. She LOVES beans.
After dinner we had cake and ice cream. We forgot candles which was fine because we decided to do finger candles which was funny.
Cousins eating dessert together. I don't think Oliver has a grasp on the fact that he has 30 cousins between both sides. That's right, THIRTY!!
Mike is kind of the baby whisperer. Molly loved it!
It was so fun to see Tim's family. They are all so nice and so laid back. And even though there was so much driving, it was totally worth it!
