Post Christmas Colds

Sweet Oliver woke up last Friday with a pretty nasty little cold. We felt super lucky that he managed to feel so well through all of Christmas and held off until the day after to get sick. He had a fever off and on for a couple of days and then woke up yesterday (New Years day) looking like this:

Tim said that rashing and swelling are normal symptoms for recovering from a specific virus. He looks much better today thank goodness!!

Peter and I have both gotten the colds (and I am crossing my fingers that neither of us swell up). We are hopefully all getting better.

The colds haven't gotten us down. Just kept us homebound for the most part. We've still had fun though.

Meeting dad at the end of the street and helping him drive the rest of the way home. Guys, Peter seriously thinks he should be able to do everything that Oliver can do. He thinks he's 3.

He's super funny too!! Oliver was "fixing" the couch and insisted that we left it this way overnight. Peter took advantage of the easy climbing access and had a great time.

Peter loves the slide that he got for Christmas. It's so cute to watch him on it. I also put a scarf on both of my boys. They insisted after seeing me wearing one. It was pretty cute!

He's so fun!! I took some slo-mo videos of the slide going and it is AWESOME!!

We rode scooters in front of my parents house. They live at the end of a cul-de-sac. Perfect for scootering. Oliver loves visiting grandma. Even if I don't let him go in the house because he's covered in germs.

Sick baby means fantastic cuddles.

Oliver has been playing with "Tim's Legos". He's getting pretty creative with them. this is a spaceship he made. Super impressive right?

Peter's just putting Santa in his place! He loves sitting in that little sled. He's going to be disappointed when all the Christmas decorations get put away.

Here's to hoping for a weekend full of rest and recovery!
