Welcome home Brother and Sister Davie!!

After serving for 18 months as missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in Johannesberg, South Africa Tim's parents returned home last week. We made the trip to Las Vegas to be at the airport when they got in. It was such a happy reunion. It's only been 4 months since we've seen them, but they haven't seen Peter since he was 8 weeks old and Oliver since he was 2! The boys are so much older and so different now. They also got to meet their newest grand-baby Kate who was born in January while they were gone.

7 out of their 25 grandkids!

We stayed with Tim's sister Rachel who is the only Davie family member living in Las Vegas (Tim's parents live in Southern Utah and this is the most convenient airport).  Rachel and her family lived with the Davie's for a few years before their mission, so her kids are especially attached to their grandparents. It was super sweet to watch all the kids interacting with them.

Peter latched right onto his grandpa Davie.

Tim's pretty happy to have his parents back safely in the states.

And when we got home, grandpa shared a burger with Peter. And that is just how to win Peter over, food!

Frank and Maxine were CES missionaries while they were in SA. They worked with young seminary and institute students and instructors and had such a positive impact on so many lives. They kept an awesome blog while they were there. They have set such a wonderful example to all of their kids and grand-kids. We are looking forward to spending more time with them now that they are home, starting with the Davie family reunion which is coming up.
