Monday night Oliver and Rhett got in their Birthday suites and did a little splashing on the big step and grandma and bop bops pool. The had such a good time splashing together.
They were little ice cubes when they got out though.
Wednesday we went to the zoo and Oliver got to play at the splash pad for the first time. He had such a good time walking all over the place not knowing where the water was going to come up.
I put him in the middle of this circle of water thinking he would think it was cool, but I think he may have felt a little trapped. He just needed someone to show him that all he had to do was run through the water.
My friend brought plastic cups for the kids, genius! He loved trying to fill the cup up.
That afternoon we went to Whitney's where she had setup a pretty awesome slip n' slide and all of the cousins had fun running around and pretty much flooding the back yard.
This was definitely an unintentional slip. He was more interesting in walking than slipin' and slidin'
Friday afternoon we had some friends come over to my moms house and ran through the sprinklers.
He finally got his run through water without much hesitation confidence.
I love this time of year! The sun rises earlier (is there anything better than waking up to the sun?) and it sets later. The weather is amazing, even when it feels too hot, the mornings and evenings are to die for. Oh spring how I love you, even if you are followed by hottness, you bring so much sunshine to my life!
