Spring Break day 3 was really fun!! I have to say the best part of the entire week was having some ideas of what we wanted to do, but not really fully committing to anything until we wanted to. We didn't really keep to any time frames or commitments which felt so good. Wednesday we decided to have an early lunch at one of Tim's favorite restaurants, Mellow Mushroom, and then headed to the Lego Discovery Center.
The boys were pretty well behaved during lunch and ate a decent amount of food and Molly slept in her carseat almost the entire time. It was a delightful experience.
There was this pretty impressive lego statue outside of the discovery center. I'm always so impressed by what they can do with legos.
Checking out the mini city!! They had a Grand Canyon area with water running that kid of blew my mind.
Playing with the legos...
and eating them....ew ew ew!!! I can't even handle how gross this is...boosting that immune system one germy lego at a time.
They had these really great giant legos and we had fun building a house for Molly with the boys.
Space lego Tim...
Space lego Peter...
Scary space lego Oliver...
And my favorite, space lego Molly trying to climb out of her helmet. Why does this picture make me laugh so hard? It's just the best!
We watch a pretty dumb 4-D movie, the boys thought it was great though.
Hanging with giant mini figures.
Building on lego walls
The space room was pretty great!! Oliver built a pretty fabulous rocket.
The control panel was pretty fun.
Riding the sorcerers ride with Peter.
Tim and Oliver went together. There were pedals that you had to pedal to make your seats go higher off the ground.
Tim and Oliver on the last ride which was knights themed.
We used a coupon to get into the Lego Discovery Center so the kids got in free. I think I would have been bummed if we'd paid for all of us. With that said, the boys loved it!! And I think they would have been happy to stay there longer. Molly was over it though...followed by me and Tim. It was a fun experience.
After the LDC we grabbed an ice cream slushy at sonic because there were having a deal 79¢ for a small (and they were so good), and then we headed to my moms to play with cousins and have dinner.
While we were at my moms we had fun watching Molly with this cute little hat on. She had a hard time taking it off and was being such a ham with it. She is such a funny little thing!!
