Happy Birthday to my Sweet little Boy

Has it really been two years?!? Or even more unbelievable a year since Oliver's last Birthday??? My how the time fly's. It's amazing how much Oliver has grown and developed over the last year. He's definitely gone from baby barely walking to this little toddler with a ridiculous vocabulary and an even more ridiculous amount of smarts. This little person makes me happier than I ever thought he'd make me and also more exhausted!! He keeps me on my toes and is a sponge (so watch what you say around him). The other day he single handedly got the dishwasher detergent from under my moms sink and proceeded to pull the spout from the box, open the dishwasher, and fill up the little soap holder in the dishwasher. When he completed his self assigned task, he reported to my mom "Ollie fill it up".

Oliver is the epitome of busy. Doesn't matter the task, he loves to be moving. He is ALWAYS willing and wanting to help with a project or job. Washing windows, scrubbing floors, and dusting are some of his favorites and don't get me started on vacuuming. The kid is obsessed with vacuums and their attachments. He still loves those small appliances and plays with them whenever he can get his hands on them. Oliver speaks his mind saying, "stop it" and "no" freely but then he doesn't hesitate to tell me, "mom's hair so pitty" or "I love you so much with much muchness". And he has perfected the hug, getting his little arms all the way around your neck and squeezing oh so tight, which is usually followed by a juicy kiss!

He loves trains and trucks and tools. And as much as he likes his plastic set he is still dying to get his hands on his own real tools. Oliver LOVES his cousins and his friends, he says please and thank you (and doesn't have to be reminded half the time) and he is my biggest joy and my biggest accomplishment. Some days he makes me wonder why I am having a second baby. Sometimes because I don't think I can handle two crazy boys and others because he's so great this next baby is going to have a hard time keeping up :) But mostly he makes me glad we are doing this again in a few months because he has been totally worth all the blood sweat and tears. I love you my sweet boy!!!
