Blessed Date Night

Tim and I had the most fantastic much needed much enjoyed date night. It was delightful. It started off with taking Oliver over to Whitney's house for a sleep over with cousins. How lucky I feel to have a trustworthy sister to watch my sweet boy so I can have a minute to think with my husband. From there Tim and I went to Scottsdale Quarter. I know, la ti da! It's a little too fancy for my blood and I felt a little too dressed down and yet I loved it!! It was so fun to walk around and some of the little shops there are pretty cute. Tim was such a good sport and happily walked through West Elm with me so I could explain in detail all the wonderful plans I had for our new place......Big Announcement: We found a place to rent and we're signing the lease tomorrow and moving on Saturday. Stay tuned for pictures.....anyway, I wasn't just giving him ideas for our new little patio home that we are going to move into, but for my someday dreams. I like to talk to him about my some day dreams. You know, owning a house, painting, decorating it, making it yours......some day.

While walking around we saw this crazy beauty:

And then I knew I was really out of place

We ate dinner at True Food Kitchen which was pretty good and super duper healthy. I have never seen Kale so much on a menu before. (Maren you would have LOVED it).

We had edemame dumplings as an appetizer:

and a chicken teriyaki bowl for an entre:

It was delicious and I really enjoyed eating such healthful food.

Tim's really good at chopsticks. Me? Not so much:

Tim let me then drag him to Scottsdale Fashion Square to make a couple of returns and of course try on potential glasses. I found a pair at Fossil that are still calling to me.

and then we tried our luck at AJ's fine foods for a bakery type desert.......no so delicious at 9 pm. But we did find this amazing store called Mombomb. I have no idea what they're all about but the fact that it's called mombomb is enough.

Meanwhile at Whitney and Chris's Oliver was having a wonderful time. It's like Tim and I didn't even exist :)

We had a fantastic time and we got to sleep in (read in bed if your me) till 9 am. AMAZING!! Thanks for watching the wee one Whit and Chris.
